2009 Econoline
Every Econoline I've been in has the same quirky AC. When you go uphill, the air goes from cold to hot? Any ideas?

The computer may be cutting out the AC when the engine is under heavy load. In the old days some cars had vacuum-operated gadgets or full-throttle cutout switches to do that.
