I have a 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 225,000 miles mostly highway. I’ve had the same problem 3 or 4 times with the brakes locking up and can’t move the truck. It happens after sitting idle for 5mins or longer. The traction control light has always been on and the adjust service stable track and the tire pressure monitoring light. The shop I take it to replaced the master cylinder the brake power booster 3 times. If I let it cool down and sit off for a few hours and start it again it runs like normal. I’m very puzzled what’s causing this problem.
So the brakes lock up while you’re in P, with the engine running?
That has ABS brakes since they're locking up I'm assuming you have a problem with the ABS system most modules often go bad on GM stuff have that tested first
