HI,
I have a 2009 pontiac G5 sedan (automatic) with 145k miles on it. Recently when I come to a stop and hold the break, the car tries to jerk forward. I have purchased a new car, but I won't be receiving it for another 2-3 months.

The transmission is probably going out.
Have you checked the fluid?
No dipstick to check the fluid. It's an automatic designed to have maintenance free transmission. And that's kind of what I thought, I got stuck in some mud the day before and transmission would have worked pretty hard to get me out so it might be dying on me now.
