How do I maintain my car

I recently purchased my daughter a 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5I Special Edition with 99k miles on it for her first car.  The car is very clean and runs well.  I recently had the timing belt replaced.  Aside from changing the oil every 5k miles and fluids on the recommended schedule, is there anything else I need to be looking out for or doing that I'm overlooking?  Thank you!

You mentioned “changing the oil every 5k miles and fluids on the ‘recommended’ schedule”, so does that mean that you have a copy of the service/maintenance schedule for this vehicle? If so, follow that. If not, you can find online through a google search or order a hard copy of the original manual.
But off the top of my head:

-Replace serpentine belt if needed.
-Change the transmission fluid.
-Spark plugs.                           -Clean the throttle body.
-Clean the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
-Clean or replace the PCV valve.
-Check the engine air filter and replace if needed.
-Replace cabin air filter if needed.
-Give the brakes a thorough inspection.
-Did your service of the fluids include the coolant?
