I have a 4 cyl 2009 Rav4 that makes a noise from the rear around 55 mph. It sounds like it is coming from the passenger side. It's hard to describe exactly what it sounds like but it sounds like a whistle paired with tapping. I have tried checking the car jack alcove and putting tape around the door hatch to make sure that wasn't it and I tried putting a big towel in the tire jack alcove which actually reduced the noise. I've taken it to 2 mechanics that claim they can't hear anything. I'm losing my mind as I drive on the highway everyday. Any advice or fixes known? Help me community, you're my only hope.

get someone to drive your car while you sit in the back and track down the noise.
