Hello, two months ago I decided to buy a BMW 5 2010 V6, it currently has 109 thousand miles, it really is an SUV that doesn't ask for anything, basic without so much complexity, smooth, comfortable, very safe, and it feels a lot of power.
But when starting it takes a while, I'm not sure what it could be, I bought a lacquer thinner and I was thinking about putting in the gas tank as I saw a video, but I would like to know what option and what path to follow for this brand of SUV.
P.S.: I am sure that the previous owner did not do the respective basic maintenance, and I also noticed that there is a black liquid at the outlet of the gas tank.

The BMW X5 doesn't have a V6.

How long does starting take?
How much troubleshooting has been done so far? Anything suspicious in codes or live data?
I bought a lacquer thinner and I was thinking about putting in the gas tank
Why?
I am sure that the previous owner did not do the respective basic maintenance, and I also noticed that there is a black liquid at the outlet of the gas tank.
Well that could certainly be a big problem if basic maintenance has not been done over the last 14 years. Those are high-maintenance, expensive vehicles to keep running under the best of circumstances. Did the pre-purchase inspection reveal any specific problems?
As an easy and inexpensive first pass you might want to try cleaning the throttle body and MAF sensor.

BMW has very complicated electronics. My '94 540i had sensors to tell you when headlights and taillights were bad. My 2017 Mustang doesn't even have that kind of technology. BMWs are cutting edge for their 7-Series sedans, yours is an X5, not as advanced as the 7 Series, but it's not "basic", not by a long shot. They're toys for the rich. BMW and "basic" don't go together.

Don't put it in your gas tank, all it will turn into is carbon dioxide and water vapor. It may also trip your Check Engine Light. The lacquer thinner is intended for malfunctioning catalytic converters, and they have to be completely removed in oder to clean them -they're also welded onto your exhaust.

Is the check engine light on? Don't just guess.
BMW 5 2010 V6
The X5 is an Inline 6, not a V6.
Can you describe the circumstances of poor acceleration? Is it all the time? On hills? From starts? At speed?
