Hey I am looking at a 2010 Chevy equinox LTZ v6 with 129,000 miles on it. They are asking 7,900 and it's in good condition. What do you guys think? Is it a good buy how reliable are they?

Here is a good reason to run away from the chevy equinox.

The price is also to high there are a ton of engine electrical and transmission issues with these.

I would like to hear the opinions of the moderators and other members as well. But my stance is for you to go a different route than the Chevy.

Horrible cars.

Don’t walk away, run ruuunnn.

I would bring a Toyota with you hop on in and get out of the proximity of all Chevy Equinoxes.

Hy!

In this year this car went from 1st to 2nd generation. If you plan to have it for a year or two, it can be OK but you waste money. For a period, longer than that I would look at something cheaper to maintain. Whatever you will decide, roadtest it and let a mechanic check it if you decide for it.

Good luck.

short and precise. Agree.

I'm no mechanic.

I've seen a fair number of these driving around still so it makes me assume they are ok.

I just know that chevys have only gotten worse in the last 20 years so it is certainly possible its a gamble.

I skimmed some base level search results and the price does seem high, but you should probably do some more digging on that.

Research shows that they have all kinds of engine transmission electrical ac interior trim quality etc. problems. I would run as fast as I could from Chevy SUVs.
