Hi Scotty, i'm Erik from Quebec,i look to buy a 2010 silverado hybrid ,i don't know anything about hybrid system of that generation ,what is advise about it?
Run away from that car. The NA Silverado is not a good one to start with. If yoo add hybrid to it, you only look for expensive repairs and issues.
I would stay away from the Silverado. As @yaser said, even the non-hybrids have problems. You throw in a hybrid powertrain and you are just asking for headaches.
Please maintain social distancing from silverado especially if it is a hybrid
That pickup is an endless money pit. They cannot even get their regular pickup together except commercials one so hybrid is far off
Problems
Battery won't last long and since it is old replacing battery is gonna cost you a fortune or maybe more than the trucks worth
Poor chassis and they get rusty
Electronical problems
So if value your life and hard-earned money please Stay away
When it comes to long term ownership, I already warn members of buying a used Prius (and Toyota makes the best hybrids out there), so when it comes to GM’s hybrid vehicles that’s a definite “don’t buy”. I can’t even recommend their gasoline powered Silverado trucks from 2006 and onward.
