Scotty have a 2010 Lexus IS 250 vehicle has been meticulously taken care of and has always garaged however has a little over 200,000 miles on it now and am feeling a shimmy in the transmission. Transmission shop says to rebuild it’s about $6700 because they only made it two years and has plastic parts in it. Please send me your advice.

Was the transmission serviced regularly? Is fluid level correct? What is the condition of the fluid?
At 200,000 miles chances are it is just wearing out, but for an expensive job like that you might want to get a second opinion.
