Hey Scotty
last week I bought a 2010 Lexus is250 AWD with 174,000 miles on it from a Young Ford dealership that was an as-is no warranty purchase. They were asking 6k so I was skeptical. There is some minor cosmetic damage on the body that doesn’t bother me all that much. It didn’t pull any codes when I scanned it and everything on the fancy dash worked fine. The drivers side and passenger side axles were leaking some grease but I bought the parts to replace them next week. I also replaced the engine air filter and did an oil change as soon as I bought it. I talked the dealership down to 5k and drove it home. I haven’t had any issues with it so far. Do you think this was a good deal? Do you have any tips for me to keep this thing running for as long as possible? huge fan of your channel, keep it up!
Take the car to an honest mechanic and have him check it throughly. You should have done it before the purchase since these cara are so complicated that a simple scan tool and inspection can not reveal the truth. Hopefully you got a good deal.
