Afternoon Scotty

We Recently  Purchased A 2010 Mazda 3 I Touring hatchback 2.0 Non Sky Active Engine automatic with 190,000 miles on it. I have all the Maintenance Record's For this car. The oil Was Changed Regulatory.

My Question Is  should i use just full synthetic or high mileage full synthetic oil at the next oil change? It takes 5-w20 oil i was thinking of going with Pennzoil Ultra platinum and would like your thought's on this? I know i saw your short on you-tube saying that the cheaper oil if it had the seal on the bottle i would be wasting my money buying the more expensive one? Also The transmission fluid is due to be changed again i was going to do a drain drop the pan change the filter and gasket and refill with genuine mazda atf mv transmission fluid and was thinking of adding Lube-guard 63010 platinum automatic transmission fluid protection 10oz to it and would like your thoughts on this as well sir. I have used lubeguard before with good results not sure if it is good for this car though? Thank you once again sir.

You can use any oil that meets the manufacturer's specifications. (So-called "high mileage" oils are mainly marketing. They may contain some additive that swells seals, which is not something you necessarily want in your engine on a regular basis.)

Avoid snake oil additives for both engine and transmission.

@chucktobias Thank you so much Sir I Really Appreciate it.
