My gf just recently purchased a 2010 Mazda 5 but it was only after buying it that she noticed the hazard button wouldn't stay pressed when she used it so she has to either keep her finger on the button or insert a small clip or paper on the side of the button so it stays pressed

Fix the switch or use the clip.
