I have a 2010 nissan altima with 70k miles and have had no problems so far ( i have had this car for 8 years). I am looking to trade my car + 1500.00 cash for a honda cube 2004 with 286k miles, from a mechanic ( no problems as far as i know.) I am looking to get a bigger vehicle, and wondered what you thought.

Is it a mechanic you trust? Have you done business with him?

Also, you are giving your Nissan +1500 bucks for a Pilot w/ 280k miles? Or did I misunderstand?

Yes the Nissan might have problems but you are giving it away and 1500 bucks with it for a car with upwards of 300k miles seems like a rip off I would negotiate and not pay anything more than 500 bucks no more.

yes i would be giving the nissan+1500 bucks and i made a mistake, its a honda element with the same mileage and this mechanic although i  havent done business with him, he works for j and w auto who through a mutual friend i have very good reports from. Sorry for the confusion-i watch your video's all the time and although i have had good luck with this car for now, doesnt mean it will last forever- thats kinda why i was interested in this honda element.

thank you for your prompt answer. As far as the honda element is concerned do you think that the mileage of 280k miles is too much, or has this vehicle got another 200 k miles?
