Hey Scotty. I am going to be purchasing a 2010 rav4 sport v6, 257,000km, for 6400$ in ontario. I know it's still a toyota but I have a concern that it was built in woodstock not japan. Does this make much of a difference, should I still buy it.
Canadian built cars have excellent build quality - those Rav4s are great cars. If the car is in good condition mechanically and was well taken care of, I would go ahead and buy it.
Ask a mechanic to fully inspect the car before you put any serious money down.
They say they will cert. The last one I looked at that said cert. had a leak in the rad and the fans were not blowing.
Scotty says the ones built in Ontario are really really good. I would not avoid buying one just because it was not made in Japan.
I would have it inspected it by a mechanic though if it is good hey why not it is 150k miles for 5000USD and that sounds like a pretty good deal.
