Hey Scotty and friends I found a 2010 Highlander LE AWD listed $10,000, 104,000 miles, clean title, 2 owners (from the same family), fully paid, seats 7 people, brand new tires, custom roof rack, and side visors. it was only serviced at one station only since brand new which was the local Toyota dealer. Toyota just did a 100,000 mile checkup with flush service. Is this a good buy for a second hand non daily driver, or is the seller asking too much? thoughts about the Highlander? thanks!
If a mechanic says its in good shape, haggle and buy it!
No matter it’s service history, you still want to have your trusted independent mechanic thoroughly check out the vehicle, before purchase.
Is that the market price of the Highlander, in your area?
If it all checks out & no red flags, sure, there’s still plenty of life remaining in that vehicle.
I’m not sure about the market price how you could look that up but I looked on KBB which I know Scotty and everyone here says you can’t go by that but From very good to excellent it’s worth $9837-$13,755. This guy is in a very wealthy area asking toward the lower end of $10,000. I have not reached out to the guy yet but if that were to happen of course I would take it to my mechanic to get it checked.
As Scotty says, if the vehicle does check out, you need to grab onto it before somebody else comes along & pays full price. But no matter what, have it inspected beforehand. You never know a car’s history.. good luck!
