I have a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu 2.4L 4cyl P0171 bank 1 system too lean. I have cleaned the MAF sensor and changed the air filter, cleared the code and it comes back. I have checked for vacuum leaks could not find one.
No drivability issues. Runs fine, no hesitations.
MAF Reads 3.00-3.89 grams per second and the code was set doing about 20mph. Is my MAF sensor bad? Any other suggestions?
Thank you
Clarification: mileage? Also, can you provide the freeze frame data?
https://www.samarins.com/diagnose/freeze-frame.html
Mileage- 70K. I need this fixed so it will pass emissions
Freeze Frame Data
Short term fuel trim- 5.5%
Long term fuel trim- 29.7%
Intake manifold absolute pressure- 74.0kpa
engine rpm 2115
Vehicle speed 35 mph
At idle MAF Reads 3.00-3.89 g/s
If it runs fine I would ignore it you can get a running to lean code for various retarded reasons sometimes EVAP system as a leak in it sometimes the gas tank is a leak in it if it runs okay personally I live with it rather than doing the entire smoke league test is all car and check to make sure that the map sense is good if it runs okay GMS that are 11 years old generally aren't perfect anyway
