My 2011 Chevy Malibu shakes severely when it starts. It does not do it all the time. Sometimes it can be weeks even months without it doing it. Once it starts to shake it the check engine light comes on. After turning it off and on a few times it goes back to normal. Previously a mechanic connected the computer and said it was the throttle body. That was replaced and yet the car continued to do the shaking. The shaking happens regardless of the gear position. I cleaned the battery terminals and tighten them a while back and that fixed the problem for many months. It started doing it again recently. Any thoughts?

Check the ground connections. Also as you did it before, clean the battery terminals and secure them.
Get you a code reader and report codes here. And yea, I've solved many a GM issues by tightening ground straps. A trick that works sometimes, after it's acted up, go put your finger on the ground strap bolts...one may be very hot ; )
