I arrived at destination shut car off and when I was ready to leave car cranked right up. no battery light. but as I drove battery light back on. I do here a bit more noise coming from somewhere as car is on. what am I looking at possibly?

Sounds like the alternator. Find on old hose, like a garden hose or washing machine hose. Cut about a 3 ft length from it.

Use it as a stethoscope. Put one end to your ear as you place the other end on the individual components on the serpentine belt. (A/C Compressor, Power Steering Pump, Idler Tensioner and Idler Pulleys, Alternator....)

If that noise is coming from the alternator that's a big clue.

(be careful working near moving belts and pulleys. No loose sleeves, tie, or anything that can get tangled up in the belt)

Thank you so much for your time and answer! I was leaning towards alternator. Tried that hose thing, only with a long screwdriver, metal tip to component and plastic handle to ear, and was completely convinced
