2011 Honda CR-V 4WD Leaking Coolant

A couple of days ago, I noticed my 2011 CR-V 4WD leaking coolant in my driveway. I brought it to a local mechanic and they said that the leaky part was a heater pipe in the engine (PART # 19510-R40-A50). He tried ordering the part (and I did too) but apparently it is on national backorder, so it could take weeks or months to get the part in (I'm only getting OEM). In the mean time, is the car still drivable??? I don't want to drive the CR-V and have other engine parts start failing due to leaking coolant.

I certainly wouldn't drive around with that pipe leaking. It would be preferable to temporarily fit an aftermarket part until the OEM piece is available. (Though if the aftermarket part is of sufficient quality you could just leave it in place. This isn't like a sensor that needs to have very specific electronic properties to work properly - it is just a pipe that needs to fit and not leak.)

is the car still drivable?

That depends.

How much is it leaking?

Do you have any photos of the leak?
