I have a 2011 Mazda 2 5sp Hatchback: the car has been idling rough upon starting up for the first time of the day but later after warmed up runs normally, the problem is interment: EGR valve or Idle control air valve? How can I diagnose?

Scanning for codes and live data would be a good start, as would be checking the usual suspects. (Spark plugs, filters, fuel pressure, vacuum leaks.) You might also clean your MAF sensor and throttle body.
