2011 RX350 AWD 211000KM
After filling up gas and adding a can of royal purple max-clean system cleaner & stabilizer, my car drive for 5 minutes and then shuts off. After cranking it finally start after 15 minutes and then went into limp mode. Car shakes and engine light keep flashing, what can be the cause? Car was running great before with no engine code . Thanks in advance.
Most additives are snake oil, though there are some decent fuel system cleaners out there. I'm not familiar with Royal Purple but depending what's in it that may well have thrown something off kilter, or pushed something over the edge that was on its way to failing.
What comes up when you scan the vehicle for codes and live data? (By the way if your check engine light is flashing it is telling you to stop driving immediately to avoid possible serious damage.)
I towed it to the the mechanic today, will find out tomorrow if there is any code.

I did my Ranger's fuel system a once over with Royal Purple and it did fine. I actually noticed my engine ran better, with a scan tool.
