Hi, I have a 2011 Toyota Rav4 with a 4 cyl engine (145,000 miles) giving a P0136 code bank 1 sensor 2. I have replaced this sensor with an OEM part. Code returned. Took it to a mechanic and they replaced the same sensor. Code returned. Took back and they said it was the CAT. and replaced that. Code returned. Took back yet again and they tried to find anything that may cause this.  They said it may be the computer now?  Can you give me any other information that may help me solve this issue?  The car still actually runs fine but I am worried I may damage something else.  Thanks for any advice.

without diagnosing the actual issue, this mechanic is going to replace your entire car (on your dime), and you'll still have the code and a bunch of crappy aftermarket parts installed. You need a better mechanic who doesn't just load up the parts cannon.
