Hello, I have a 2011 Toyota Rav4 2.5L 4wd with 165k the transmission have regular transmission fluid change/filter change and transfer/diff fluid change as well. Most recently at 164k. However the transmission would slip at around 10 mph when I am rolling in stop and go traffic and no issues with other gears. It will not slip if I'm completely stopped at a stop sign only when rolling and accelerating at 10 mph. Is the solenoid going bad or the transmission is going to need to be rebuilt. I have no lights. I'm kinda disappointed in the quality Of Toyota if it's already failing at 165k with regular fluid changes with the correct level. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately you got one of the transmissions that was relatively weak and that year and just about only the RAV4. I've had customers with the same problem with that model may I personally would live with it but if you want you might try to iota some of them have a reprogramming of the transmission software that can help
Thanks Scotty. So to get it reprogrammed would I need to take it to the dealership for them to reprogram it?
Also, can I try to drain a quart and add a quart of Lucas transmission slip fix?
