Thanks in advance for any replies to this question. I feel like I’ve been flooding the forum lately. Finally found a Sienna that I felt comfortable enough (over)paying for. 2011 LE with 87000 miles. I know the timing belt and some other maintenance will be coming up soon, just like on our odyssey, but other than regular scheduled maintenance, what is going to make this thing last as long as possible? Specifically, I noticed I have the option to turn off the eco mode. We have bad roads here in Louisiana and a few hills here and there. It goes in/out of eco frequently, but I didn’t know if leaving it out of eco mode would be better for the engine overall.
It does have timing chain not timing belt. At this age and milage, I would change the ATF, coolant. About the eco mode, do not worry, the eco reduces the power of the car to get a better gas mileage and the reason it goes out of that is because computer detects it needs more power.
Use eco however you like. I wouldn't worry about it.
