Scotty, I had a 2011 Toyota Venza 4 cylinder with 147,000 miles on it and it was burning oil. Had it since 40,000 miles. Took it to Valvoline Instant Oil change every 5,000 miles for an oil change. I don’t know if Valvoline screwed me up, but one time they changed my air filter and lost all the screws. I had to find that out for myself one day when I decided to change the air filter myself. The Venza started burning oil for the past 3-4 months, so I traded it for a 2019 Mazda CX-9.
Never take your vehicle to a quick-lube joint or any chain shop.
There was an era of Camry that had bad piston rings TMK. The Venza is basically a Camry.
The other culprit could be the PCV valve. They need cleaning or changing, but it’s not documented as part of regular maintenance.
