[Solved] Did my turbo fail

I have the 2012 Ram 6.7L Cummins Deisel with 105K mi.  Automatic, and the Turbo is not working.   I took it to AutoZone to read the codes and it pointed to the Turbo (Lost the codes 🙁  )   I called my dealership which gave me lifetime warranty on the drive train, and they said if it is the Turbo it is covered, but if it is the actuator, it is not covered.   I do not want to pay the dealership a ton of money for fixing the actuator, but rather have a mechanic do it.   I also do not want to spend a bunch of money to have a mechanic take it apart and then put it back together ot only find out it is the Tubo.   Stuck!!

Essentially, I need to find out if it is the Actuator or not, or just live without the Turbo altogether.   Still has plenty of power but does not have the acceleration it used to have.  I tow a 8500 lb trailer about once every 2 months, and other than that it does minimal extra work like carrying fire wood . . .

All right? Well you need to find a mechanic like me. What's a good scan tool to test. We can activate the actuator, see if they actuator is working correctly with our bi-directional scan tools. Rather than just gas because of course you can't trust the dealer. It wouldn't matter what was wrong. They're going to tell you something you got to pay him money for regardless of what they actually end up doing on the vehicle. For example they might say. Well it's the turbo and the actuator. Then replace the turbo under warranty and charge you for the actuator
