Hello Scotty,
I am getting the Christmas show on the dash of my 2012 Ford fusion. Intially I thought it was the battery and I replaced it since it was over 4 years old. It worked fine a couple days then back to the dash festivities. I needed a inspection so I brought it to my Ford dealer told them the issue they hooked the code reader up to the car and no codes were registering. Not sure if you have every came across this in your years as a mechanic. The car starts, drives and runs it's the craziest thing, and there is only 98,000 miles on the car. Not sure if something came loose electrically. Any help I appreciate.
Thanks, Phil from Cheektowaga NY
Why not? It's Christmas in July.
Maybe check and clean any ground connections under the hood.
Update my car passed inspection, techs saw problem it's still going on the Ford dealer has no real clue as they hooked up there code meter and no codes were tripped. Found this on YouTube and it's exactly what I am experiencing https://youtu.be/GiBQ2BEwJOU wondering if anyone else has a possible fix, the whole system shuts off, ac, radio, sync system, and then I get dash Christmas lights, but car runs, turns on very puzzling
