Hi Scotty

I have a 2012 Fusion we bought new. I recently had the oil changed at the dealer and they told me that I need to replace the lug nuts due to the possibility they may swell and make it difficult to change a tire. I researched it online and it appears to be an issue. The dealer wants $7.00 per lug nut What is up with this?  Thanks Scotty, Slappy.

@slappy
any other lug will work, if you have recall get it cheaper somewhere else, its just a lug nut

Most factory installed lug nuts are two pieces...a chrome/stainless cover pinched over a steel nut. They are called "capped".  Total junk.

Go to any auto parts store and buy the solid nuts...around a dollar each. Or order online...you are looking for "acorn closed-end" wheel nuts. They are available in chrome and various colors.

Thank you. 👍
