why did ford put the speed sensor inside the tranny. and also what should I do, the ford company and a transmission shop told me its gonna be over 800 U.S dollers and am i able to change it my self. i don't have Experience with a tranny.

They did because engineers are evil swine and they like making a lot of money at the dealer fixing their stupid designs
