2012 hee wrangler sport 186000 miles automatic told need transmission after replacing rear main seal. Hadn’t had previous problems
I would likely add the picture they sent me if possible.
If it was driving well and now it’s not / they can’t put it back in: They probably have dropped the transmission when they tried to take it out of the car or have screwed something else up.
a rear main seal shouldn’t cause a well driving car to drive any worse.
Someone else told me that to. They said he didn’t have to mess with my transmission at all.
This is a picture they sent and said it was bad
Is that a magnet that attracted metal participles? If so, this means the transmission is maybe legitimately starting to go out (I’m not sure, doesn’t look that bad to me) but nothing you wouldn’t expect to see at 180k miles…
BUT If this was me, I’d just keep driving the car until the transmission will go out by it self (it might still last quite a long while). It may have some life left in it although do this at your own risk.
