I bought 2012 Chevy Malibu Lt new in 2012 Ben thru all the crap with this but really like it it has 200166 miles on it have changed trans fluid somewhat regularly. It’s developed s slip from 2nd to 3rd. In in stick mode shifts fine. 6 speed trans any sugestions

ok ... auto or manual? I don't know what stick mode is.
If it's auto, then trans is done after 200k miles. Probably not worth doing anything with it. Time to move on.
@imperator so what I meant by stick mode it’s an automatic trans by has an option to drive it like it’s a manual you push a button to up shift and down shift driveing it like a manual when you drive like that it shifts fine. And it only slips when hot in automatic 6!spede

Automatic transmissions don't have "stick mode", at least not in the sense that you're thinking. You can simulate a manual using the transmission's paddle shifters, but the transmission will not allow the engine's RPMs to move past redline. In a true manual, if you don't know how to shift properly, you will blow the engine up if you rev past redline. Instead of the Transmission Control Module mediating shifting for you, in a manual, you are the Transmission Control Module. You press on the transmission's clutch pedal.

Did you fill up the transmission fluid to the proper level the last time you changed it? Providing that transmission even has a dipstick, most will say on the dipstick itself, something to the tune of "Check when hot". The fluid, metal, and case expand when the transmission is hot. A transmission dipstick that reads close to full when cold can easily read too low when hot.
