2012 tundra
truck has 40,000 miles on it. the problem started about 2 years ago and until the last week it hasnt accured. the brake pedal gets mushy and go almost to the floor. It still stops, but not sure what is causing problem. I took it to a mechanic about a year ago and he couldnt find anything wrong. At that time ,the brakes were acting fine

you may need a new master cylinder

A good first step would be to bleed the system. If brake fluid is original after 12 years it would be a good idea to flush it out anyway.
