Turbo Volvo with 48K miles, took it in to Dealer for seatbelt recall. They came back and told me it had a oil trap box leaking, wanted 710 bux for that and said it needed a new rear intake camshaft plug, wanted 138 bux for that whatever that is. What should be the real cost and is it anything to worry about?
Did you have your mechanic check it out as well?
Did they do the seatbelt recall??? For the other stuff, bring it to a mechanic that you trust to see if the Volvo dealer was just wanting to upsell you on stuff you may or may not need.
Sounds like your Volvo dealer is a conman.
those are not things that typically fail on a 8 year old Volvo, especially with that super low mileage.
i would go to a trusted mechanic so that he could inspect your car and tell you if the dealer is trying to rip you off.
