2013 Chevy Impala LT transmission trouble

Hey guys just wanted your thoughts on this. Have a 2013 Chevy Impala LT with about 75k miles on it. Got it used late 2021. Put only about 4-5k miles on it since then. Passed inspection recently. Couple weeks ago I noticed the shifting was not right. When accelerating and going up hills especially it was losing power and making a "whirrr" noise. Seemed like between 1st and 2nd gear to me.

Was on a busy road a few days ago for an appt. And the problem got much worse it seemed. Thought I was gonna break down. Strangely in the morning when it's cold outside the problem seems not as bad. Because when I was driving to work it wasn't as noticeable. But later in the day when it was hot and I was driving home from work the problem seems much worse. Don't think I'm imagining

Took it to AAMCO. Guy said it looked ok electronically. Said there's a 2-3 flare and a "reverse delay" or something like that. Said the clutch may be worn and needs replaced and he would also replace the bands and some other stuff. Said the problem was caught early. AAMCO guy said $2695 to replace clutch and bands and something else.

About a week ago the check engine light came on and the code was P0411 secondary air injection system insufficient flow. Idk if that's related.

Thoughts?

I don't believe that P0411 would affect the transmission. From what you are saying it's hard to tell whether the transmission problem predates the code.

The diagnosis may be right, but on the other hand like other chain shops AAMCO has a reputation for ripping people off. Is there enough transmission fluid and what is its condition? (I would not expect problems there if the 75K mile reading is accurate but you never know.)

Yeah there's enough trans fluid and the condition of the fluid looked okay to the first place I took the vehicle. My normal mechanic shop Flynn's. They don't work on transmissions though so I had to go to AAMCO. The 75k miles is accurate I assume. Idk why it wouldn't be.

I turned the car on just now randomly and a new code came up. What could be going on here? Is my 2-3 flare being caused by something else? When I just started the car it felt like it was vibrating too much.
