P06DD oil pressure control circuit

I have a 2013 chrysler 300 3.6 b pentastar vvt flex fuel with 160k miles automatic transmission

Check engine light came on with code p06dd oil pressure control circuit stuck on wich basically prevents the car from going past 3000 rpm before bogging down and psi does not go past 40.i have changed the oil and installed the CORRECT oil filter, i have replaced the oil pressure switch, and the light keeps coming on every time i clear the code it always comes back the car is running fine no weird noises or anything like that now the last step is to change the oil pump should i go ahead and do it? I feel like ive ruled out the basic things that trip this code including using correct oil and confirming there is current on the harness i would like to add that the car was recently hydrolocked but luckily the starter was bad and i was able to get the water out manually although that was many months ago and it doesnt seem that the p06dd code stems from that please help is there anything im missing before i spend money on a new oil pump im afraid of getting the same result
