Should I buy extended warranty for my 2013 Lexus ES350?

Scotty,

I bought a 2013 es 350 with only 19k miles this week. Like brand new. Love it. My mechanic hooked it up to computers and checked it all good. We bought from someone we know at Lexus dealer, so not private seller but through research got decent deal.

mechanic says car is perfect and well maintained. I paid cash for the Lexus warranty. Would you think that necessary or should I cash out for free within first 30 days?  All I hear from you and read elsewhere says these are a 5/5 on reliability. I just bought while could at time of deal and can get refund.

Thanks for insights. Love the channel!!

How much for the extended warranty and what all does it cover, and for how long?

Congrats!

I don't think you need extended warranty for that car.

It is a 50/50 proposition but most of the time when you have a problem under warranty, the guy will look at you and say "That's normal."  I hope you read and understood every line of your warranty.

I agree with Doc. "The Devil is in the Details." Read the details of the warranty, closely, and attack, in terms of understanding, vague or legalese language, until you thoroughly understand it.

Once you've digested all of that, ask yourself this: Who do you trust more? Lexus dealership or your independent mechanic?
