Hello:

I have a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 L without about 170k miles. Yesterday it wouldn't start. I'm getting

a damaged key message indicator. But I have been having a recent issue with starting. When I push the button sometimes it hasn't started. I discovered that by taking my foot off the brake and then pressing the button twice I could then put my foot back on the brake and it would start. I'm wondering if there could be a starter problem. Perhaps a fuse. Not sure

More often than not. It's just a starter beginning to wear out. Have the battery and wiring tested and if it's okay, replace the starter
