Hey Scottie and Friends!
I have a 2014 4Runner Limited. When I press the brake pedal it makes a “pssst” sound. Similar to the sound a storm door hydraulic pump makes when you open it.
is there any fix for this? It’s a great vehicle, but it’s a bit annoying. Thanks for your insight, Dan

Inspect your brake master cylinder. You may need to change the cylinder.
2013 SR5, I have the same sound when braking and have had a few events where the brakes seem to lock up hard. About 3 times so far, wasn't sure if its just the age of my 4runner and the ABS has gone out, but ill get my master cylinder checked.
