Hey Scotty
My son's 2014 Chevy Cruze (1.4T 120,000 miles automatic) keeps cracking the ignition coil by the #1 spark plug. Code is #1 misfire. This is the 3rd ignition coil in a month. 2nd one blew as soon as I started the engine. I've replaced the plugs twice and cleaned the fuel injectors and swapped then them around but still #1 misfire. This ignition coil is one piece for all 4 cylinders. Could I be getting a bad ground just on #1?
Thanks for any advice

Follow up just in case someone else has this happening. Found corrosion where the coil pack/fuel injector harness connects to the ECM. Cleaned it with electrical cleaner and added a little electrical grease on the connector. Bought a new ignition coil and running like new again.
yes a bad ground would stress the coil.
Thanks for the reply..guess I'll be checking wires tomorrow..can't get over all the plastic on this engine..thought I raised him better😂
I know. You'd think it was wartime and we were conserving metal or something.
