I saw on craigslist on 2014 Chevy Impala 111,000 miles clean title for $5000 from private seller. Seller says runs and drives good.
In this market, that's not terrible. It depends a lot on how well it was maintained, and the current mechanical condition. Don't rely on what "seller says ..."
It's not a great car, or a long lasting car, but if you drive it for a year and then sell it for $4,000 then you're laughing.
Nay
Depends on how long you want it the average amount of time they last is 150,000 miles. If you get it make sure to do proper maintenance, and you may need to change things like transmission, water pump, and timing chain around 150,000 miles so be prepared for things like that. So I would say look at something else.
It's getting near the end of its expected service life. Should be half that price.
