I drive 2014 Honda Cr-V: LX-AWD and it makes noise when I start for the first time. I googled for this problem, and it seems to be a common issue with Honda Cr-V and Honda Accords, "Cold Start Noise".
My question is, whether this is something I need to worry about?

I have the same issue with my Accord. Does your noise take a bit before it goes away or is it for a few seconds? If it is the latter you are probably ok, if it is the former you have the same issue I have yet to solve.
Yes. It stays for first 1/2 seconds, and then disappears. It's been happening for last year or so, no matter summer, fall, winter or spring.
We live in Western part of Maryland, and it's winter is pretty extreme though. But never had any issue with starting the vehicles.
Check your oil. If its full I wouldnt worry to much about it. Usually its just a lack of lubrication on the valves as the engine has been sitting.
If its not full change your oil/ filter. Maybe do a flush.

I had the same problem with my 2012 CRV. It’s the VTC, there’s a recall for this that needs to be replaced. There is also a service bulletin for this.
