The fob might be faulty.

It worked all the time and all of a sudden it stopped unlocking- I can lock the doors though- thanks for your feedback

Open the fob and see if you can unlock the doors. Maybe the button plastic cover is not working.

Have you ever changed the key fob battery? If not, try installing a new (good quality) CR2032 and check if works normally.

Does the spare key fob work?

Hi, I’ve replaced the battery ( According to manuals owner it requires a CR 1616) and again, the same thing it locks but it won’t unlock. Also the scanner Autel MK808 couldn’t detect any faulty codes. Thanks

Yeah try @yaser ’s advice of checking if the button on the circuit board, inside the fob still works. If it doesn’t, you may have to visit the Honda dealer or a certified locksmith to reprogram the key fob to your vehicle. PS. Thanks for the tip on the battery model. I see Honda uses a different fob battery size in different model years.

I’ve checked the button this morning and it works just fine, the light come on when I press unlock. I was wondering if I could reprogram the key with my scanner Autel MK808. I’m trying to avoid the dealership, their prices are insane. Thank again for your input on the details

I suggest you contact Autel & ask if that particular model can perform this task. In the meantime, contact a reputed locksmith in your area & ask for a quote. Please keep us updated with your fix.

Thanks and I will surly get back to you with an update.

No worries & all the best.

Problem solved. The trunk wasn’t closed properly. Now I’m feeling better and love my little car again:) Thanks again for your support.
