2014 Jetta Hybrid sel premium automatic w turbo 1.4
Have a check engine light on due to the emissions filter is inoperable...also know this because it triggers the fuel pump at the gas station to shut off every few seconds when fueling up...is there any way to fix this myself or is a mechanic level or deal level problem? I was told this filter failure is do to "topping off" your thank after filling it when it disengages...don't know but need some help, thank you for any help
What was the OBD2 code?
(As a rule of thumb, if a mechanic can - with the req. tools and some common sense you can too)

Replace the charcoal canister.
