I have a 2014 Kia Sportage with 148,000 miles on it and I went to load something in the back seat and I went to close the door, locked the car. Came back the next day and the door wouldn't open, the door won't open from the outside nor inside handles and the child locks haven't been turned on or anything and the door is unlocked.

The rod that operates the latch probably came loose. If that's the case you need to remove the inside door panel to access it.
