Hello, my car recently had water intrusion due to a flood. There was no damage to any systems in the engine bay (engine turns and the car was not running in the flood) but it did sustain damage to electronics such as the power seat modules under the seats as well as the rear signal acquisition module (SAM) that got corroded. I found a junk car website that has my exact make/model that costs as much as i would expect to spend on these individual modules themselves. The thing is the junk car had it's airbags deployed. Would that have any affect on the functionality of my SRS system or any of these modules i need?
Well per se they're knocking off of the airbags. Isn't going to directly affect the stuff. But if a Mercedes in a junkyard you got to ask why did the airbags go off and smashed into something? Once they smash all kinds of stuff can get shorted out. You never know. Plus realize on that car half the parts when you replace them the computer's got to be reprogrammed
