Hello, I’m looking to purchase a 2014 Sierra with 55k miles. I’ve heard some issues with the 8 speed transmission. This one has the 6 speed, is it any better?

The 6-speed is definitely better than the 8-speed, no arguing that. Beware of cylinder deactivation (AFM) in the small-block V8’s as well as usual GM quality issues and electrical gremlins over time.

Had a 2017 from new and had no issues with the transmission.
