My 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid climate control does. Not maintain my climate setting, except for a very sort time after the car is turned off. When I turn on the car it goes through the startup procedure but the climate control do not come on, I have to press the “Auto” button to activate the system. Is there a separate battery for the climate control system?

If not, you’ll have to find somebody with a techstream or dealer level scan tool to perform bidirectional testing of your HVAC system.
I changed the climate control from automatic to manual on my 2015 Avalon Limited using the touchscreen.
