2015 Chevy trax 1.4 turbo. The trax has 150000 miles original turbo. Has started white smoke out exhaust. I did the combustion leak test on coolant tank for 45 minutes no charge in color. Put it on exhaust color changed in seconds. Scoped cylinders not wet or washed .
did pressure test in cooling system lost pressure after 15 minutes.
die is in coolant no visible coolant leaks
mo check engine light
Of course, anything like Warren valve seals on the engine will make white smoke come out. It can be burning oil as well as burning water. And from my experience, realize those turbochargers are often oil and water cooled and when the turbos wear internally they will either slip oil past the seal and smoke white or slip coolant and make it smoke. White. Turbo's only last so long.
Thank you chuck! Is there a way to test the turbo to see if it is leaking?
