Scotty, i purchased a 2015 Hyundai Elantra brand new and it now has 85K miles on it.  I change the oil every 5K miles with synthetic and a dealer filter.  Also, all other maintenance items have been done (Filters, coolant change, etc).  I've had no issues whatsoever with the car and its been very reliable and gets amazing fuel mileage.  Car is 6 speed manual transmission with 1.8L Nu engine.  I've heard many bad things about these cars and i'm wondering if i should keep it as it seems like a great little economical car, or should I get rid of it now before it starts falling apart?

I would sell it. Because you've haven't had any issues yet- you might get some money out of it.

If it came with the 100.000 mile warranty and you've already used up 85% of that, I'd trade it in for a new one. Cars are cars. It's the warranty that's a deal clincher IMO
