good morning Scotty,

I have a 2015 CRV in outstanding condition. It has about 94,000 miles on it. I have done all maintenance required up to date. My question is: I took it to the Honda dealer for an oil change and they recommended the following services for the next oil change:

1) spark plugs and valve adjustment about $625.00

2) Fuel induction about $169.00

3)Transmission service $115.00

4)Rear differential $89.95

Should I do all these "recommended" services or are they trying to sell me stuff I don't need?

thanks.

I agree, 2,3, and 4 are reasonable, spark plugs for $625, he’ll no....

@oneimich
Lol. We're in the wrong business.

@oneimich
Thank you for your answers. The $625.00 includes the valve adjustment. Is this something that I have to really do?

@oneimich
Yes. Honda engines need valve adjustment about every 100,000 miles (sooner, if they are noisy).
That is a very reliable car and engine. Well worth maintaining.
Dealerships are pricey, but generally do a good job.

@oneimich
Thank you very much. It is always good to hear another opinion.

Transmission service for $115 is just a drop pan only a full flush which I would recommend would be roughly $180-$200

If you have gone to the dealer for all the maintenance before and you are happy with their work, go for this service too. Then whenever you plan to sell the car, you can get your spent money worth it. Ask them for some discounts too if possible.

@yaser
will do. Thank you for your response.

Some may question the need for the $169.00 fuel injection cleaning.

Everything else looks about right.

@carlos
Hey Carlos let’s be partners, spark plug changes only $625 all cars, the. We can go on vacation.
